Ana Fonte Garden

In the midst of the concrete forest of Margão lies a heavenly park which is of first of its light and sound show and spring it is named as Ana Fonte  which is also known as "city of fountain "


This beautiful garden is located in Margão opposite BPS club. The garden Ana Fonte was inaugurated on January 25 2005 by the CM Pratapsin Rana. It's small and beautiful with 3-4 fountains and musical fountain an area for stage,  fresh water stream, structure of different animals at a corner of the park a canteen,  also restroom.

Many  social organizations host events on the parks makeshift stage on many occasions like independent day, children days,  libration day... and so on for children and adults,  the opening timings of the garden is from 5pm to 9pm everyday and special musical fountain shows on every weekends after sundown which attracts families and their Youngones.


The maintenance of the garden is in the hands of Forest Department,  but the footbridge are broken and is not safe for children,  rest rooms are constructed at a height that is inaccessible for senior citizens, pregnant ladies and  disabled people  the garden has algae deposit on the footbridge which is also a threat to everyone.

Although it is a good idea to visit this site with children or friends simply for a photoshoot or for a relax walk  and also if u want to take a look from outside thn u can check while  on your way to Monte Hill Chapel of our Lady of Piety or to the holy Spirit Church,  indeed during day time you cannot enjoy the fountain thst is known for.

The Holy Spirit Church, Margao, Goa is also popularly called ‘The Margao Church’ locally in Goa. The first Holy Spirit Church in Margao was founded by the Jesuits in 1564. This church was however destroyed in a fire in 1571. The second Holy Spirit Church, Margao was built in 1571, also got destroyed eight years later and the third also was short lived.
